2018 Pine Barrens 500 Oct 26, 27 & 28

Pine Barrens Adventures and Cross Country Cycle is proud to announce  this years Pine Barrens 500.

For those of you unfamiliar with Pine Barrens Adventures Events, we try to host “Adventure Vacations” with great food, hotel lodging and excellent routes. We also have a great crew of very experienced riders that man support stations along the routes and also have support and sweep riders on the course to assist with any issues that arise. We also have two full EMS squads on duty in case of emergency’s.

This year we added a full Enduro’s worth of Firecuts to the course. Over the duration of the three day event, the riders will be challenged with some of the best enduro sections from local enduro events. The Pine Barrens 500 is a challenge to complete most years, and this year the addition of the optional enduro sections will make a great event even better. There will also be the shortened Bike Big Route that avoids the more difficult sections of the Course.

The event has a rider limit of 200 riders. We usually sell out a few weeks before the event, so if you wish to attend, enter soon.

In addition to the great routes, we like to have informative and interesting discussions and seminars in the evenings. This year our Title sponsor, Cross Country Cycle is bringing BMW’s Shawn Thomas to this years event. He will give a presentation at the Dinner on Saturday.

Shawn’s Story: On his path to World Traveling Adventure Rider and BMW Brand Ambassador, Shawn Thomas claims to have made just about every mistake there is along the way! Join us for a fun evening presentation as Shawn shares his hilariously informative tale of challenges, mishaps, and how he learned the hard way to be an International Adventurer—so perhaps you can make better choices for yourself!

Friday we will have Two Tech seminars, one for BWM’s and one for KTM’s. More info we be released soon.

BMW Motorcycle Electronics: BMW Brand Ambassador Shawn Thomas will be on hand offering a presentation on ABS Brakes, Traction Control, Electronic Suspension, and Throttle Response—and how they help you to be a better rider!

KTM Electronic and Suspension Seminar by Top KTM Dealer Solid Performance, an authorized WP Suspension Sales and Service Center.  A Q&A seminar discussing the innovative electronics packages offered on the new KTM Adventure models. KTM’s innovative MY RIDE, ABS, Traction Control systems and more will all be discussed in detail. Additional info to come prior to the event.

KTM Adventure Ride Rep’s, Mike Lafferty and Russell Bobbit, who together have about a dozen National Enduro Championships will also be there and you have a chance to sign up for a Ride with the Pros.

On Thursday night at 7PM, Pine Barrens Adventures will give our GPS 101 class. This informative session will help you understand how to use your GPS for the weekends routes and also have a discussion on basic GPS terminology and touch on Smart Phone Apps and Hardware.

This years Full Regular Entry Package price is $275. We had to raise the fee due to increased Permit Fees, an additional EMS squad and Higher Meal costs.  The Full Package includes all three days rides, Fridays Lunch at Lucille’s, Saturday and Sunday lunches at the Gun Club, the buffet dinner at Frog Rock Country Club and great shirt. Single day entry fee is $70 and includes a Lunch.

Your entry fee also helps Pine Barrens Adventures LLC advocate for your right to ride in the State Forests. We have seats at the State Forest Stake Holder and DEP meetings, and are also current or former officers in local enduro clubs. Your entry helps to keep the forests open to Motorcycles, a right that is constantly under attack.
