The class and staff getting ready to venture into the forest.
In addition to basic riding skills, we teach important skills necessary to the local area and terrain. Here, in central Pa, the gravel roads in the State Forests tends have small rocks pushed to the edges of the road, making it like riding on marbles. We have a training section to show how to ride out of it and then bring students to actual sections to safely test them on what they learned.
Below, Instructor Mike Bradway shows a student the right way to steer out of the “Marbles” in the turn.
The Muddy, Rocky downhill drill is always fun!
